Class A

Class A is the term applied to an office property that meets marketing leading standards in terms of location and quality of design, construction and technical systems, management and ammenities. Because these standards in design, construction and technical systems are constanting evolving, rarely are buildings more than 10 years old considered Class A. Similarly, if a building’s management and ammenities are not regularly updated to keep up with trends in best practice, poor management and a lack of appropriate services can market opinion to reclassify a building from Class A to Class B.  Although some markets have organized discussion and systemization of the criteria for Class A buildings, there is no objective formula or system for scientifically determining the class of a building.
